Honda Motor has announced that it has improved its Freed van with a gasoline version, Drom.ru reported.

Now, when painting the body of such cars, not the usual acrylic-melamine varnish is used, but an innovative composition, the components of which are not specified in the respective press release.

The gloss of the body has increased, and the strength of the coating has increased by one and a half times. Previously, this varnish was used only for the Freed e:HEV hybrid van.

The complex of driver assistance systems on the gasoline-powered Freed has been supplemented with the function of holding the car when driving on a steep slope.

The latest generation gasoline Freed is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 118 horsepower and a torque of 142 Nm. It is combined with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

This hybrid vehicle is indicated by the abbreviation e:HEV, the device includes a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine (106 horsepower, 127 Nm), an electric motor (123 horsepower, 253 Nm), and a CVT.

In the Japanese market, this van is offered for 2,623,500 yen.
