March 25, at 10:30 a.m. local time the passenger train Kuranda Scenic derailed 16 km of Redlynch in far north Queensland, Australia with 240 passengers on board.
The engine derailed due to a landslide, and the front carriages were also off the rails.
According to preliminary data, 5 people were wounded. Among the injured there are children and old men, ITAR TASS reports.
Presently emergency rescue teams are working in the accident site.
