Deportation of women and children to Afghanistan from Germany must be stopped in the light of the terrorist attack in Kabul, chairman of the Social Democratic Party, German Chancellor candidate Martin Schulz said at a conference in Berlin, RIA Novosti reported.
“I personally think that children and women cannot be deported to Afghanistan, this must be clearly stated,” Schulz said.
He added that amid yesterday's events in Kabul, Berlin cannot continue deportations. The government must wait until the Foreign Ministry analyzes the security situation and then only decide whether Germany should continue deportations.
