DC Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton announced that they will not allow Turkish thugs, attacking peaceful protesters, to hide using the right to immunity.

She recalled that the actions by Erdogan’s bodyguards were an attack not solely on the demonstrators, but on freedom of speech and the right to express protest.

As Armenian News – NEWS.am reported earlier, with a vote of 397, the US House of Representatives on Tuesday formally condemned the actions by the bodyguards of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. 

Res. 354 condemns the Turkish security members during the incident that occurred at the time of Erdogan’s visit to Washington D.C., as they had attacked the peaceful demonstrators who were protesting against the Turkish president.
