At 11:40am on Thursday, police received a call from the Ashtarak city hospital that a man in an unconscious state was brought to them for medical treatment, the Police of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

It was found that around 10:50am on the same day, a truck had hit operator Garik Karapetyan, 54, while backing up at the Byurakan village mine, causing him injuries.

And at 7:45pm, a call was received from the aforesaid hospital that Karapetyan had died without regaining consciousness.

An investigation is underway.
