The list of foreign visitors to America did not undergo considerable changes. Canada, U.K., Japan and France are consistently in the top 10 and countries like Israel and Taiwan appear in the top 20, msnbc website reports referring to Forbes Traveler.

According to the U.S. Commerce Department’s Office of Travel and Tourism Industries (OTTI) report, international visitations to U.S. as of July, 2009 registered a decline (10%) as compared to the same period in 2008. It is conditioned by the slump in large trend of global tourism. “When economic problems occur globally, regionally, or for specific countries, it has an impact on travel to the U.S.A.,” Deputy Director at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Travel and Tourism Industries Ron Erdmann said.

However, the comparisons are drawn not only in listed order, but year-to-year shifts.

Top 10 of America’s visitors are Canada, Mexico, UK, Japan, Germany, France, Brazil, South Korea, Italy and Australia, Forbes Traveler reads.
