Tomorrow, August 18, having completed all the necessary procedures, Georgia withdraws from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The withdrawal was initiated by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili on August 12, 2008 in protest at Russian military invasion to Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
