At least 17 people, including women and children were killed and 119 more were injured as a result of twin suicide bombings which struck Afghan capital Kabul, Xinhua reported.

The explosion occurred on Wednesday at about 12:40 near. Kabul police spokesman confirmed that the Taliban militants attacked a police station with a massive car bomb in west side of the city while at the same time they launched another suicide bombing against a national intelligence agency office in east of the city.

Taliban movement claimed responsibility for the bombings.
