The White House appealed to the Supreme Court to reinstate a travel ban on people from six Muslim countries, BBC reported.
The ban was blocked by lower courts which have said that it is discriminatory.
The government has filed two emergency applications with a request to cancel these judicial decisions.
The controversial decree has caused mass protests in the US.
