Egypt's decision to sever diplomatic ties with Qatar is caused by the failure of attempts to convince Doha not to support terrorist organizations led by the Muslim Brotherhood association, RIA Novosti reported quoting Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
According to the information, Qatar provides shelter to the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, against whom judgments on participation in terrorist attacks in Egypt are passed.
Also, according to official Cairo, Doha propagates an ideology of Al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist groups and supports terrorist attacks in the territory of the Sinai Peninsula.
Cairo, as well as Abu Dhabi, Manama and Riyadh, announced closing off all land, sea and air contacts with Doha.
