The US may send troops to the Korean Peninsula as a countermeasure on the recent test of the intercontinental ballistic missile by Pyongyang.

As CNN reported quoting sources, US President Donald Trump intends to approve a "measured response" to actions of North Korea.

The source noted that, nothing has been decided, but that response could include sending additional US military assets such as troops, aircraft and ships to the region.

Earlier, the Pentagon said that he US is ready to protect its allies from growing threat which poses North Korea.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson noted that "global action is required to stop a global threat.”

According to Express, expert Adam Mount, a senior fellow at the Centre for American Progress, said President Trump had few good options to respond to North Korea.
