YEREVAN. - A number of cases with positive outcome has increased in Armenia’s Human Rights Defender’s Office last year.
“In 2013 the number of cases with positive outcome was 347, in 2014 – 385, in 2015 – 498, in 2016 – 444 and last year – 845. The main reason for this is effective cooperation with state bodies and organizations. The number of cases with positive outcome was calculated from among the cases falling within the Defender’s mandate”, Nune Hovsepyan, head of the Public Relations Unit, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The report “People’s Expectations and Needs of Justice in Armenia” was published in 2017. According to the results of surveys, people prefer applying to the Human Rights Defender when legal disputes arise.
