U.S. President Barack Obama and Turkey’s PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a phone conversation to discuss Syrian President Bashar Assad’s message broadcasted on TV.

The two leaders stressed that establishment of peace in the Middle East is very urgent for the region, Turkish Hurriyet newspaper. The two sides stressed they would follow Syrian developments and agreed that no force should be used against peaceful demonstrators.

Obama and Erdogan spoke also about  the issues related to developments in Libya and a conference on Libya to take place on July 15-16 in Istanbul.
