A man wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with two knives was arrested trying to get into Trump Tower in New York to meet the president's daughter Ivanka Trump. Adames Benitez, 52,  assured that he was a US Senator and wanted to see Ivanka Trump to speak about her dress line, NYDN reported.

Secret Service agents who noticed he was wearing a bulletproof vest, stopped  the man. A quick search revealed that Benitez was carrying two throwing knives, a weighted sock and a fake New York State I.D. Card.

The detainee was taken to a medical center for a psychiatric evaluation.
