Representatives of the automobile market told about a significant increase in the price of spare parts and consumables. In addition, many parts are not available on our market at all.

In Russia, there is a lack of windshields, body parts, engines, as well as consumables, including oil and fuel filters. Not all components can be imported in the country through parallel importation. In this regard, car owners are offered to repair their vehicles with used parts, Motor reported.

Depending on the brand, the cost of parts in Russia has increased by 35-65 percent since January this year. This trend is connected with the departure of European manufacturers from the country, unstable currency exchange rate and complicated logistics.

Among the brands experiencing significant shortages are Ford, Subaru, Suzuki, Renault, as well as Audi, Mazda, and Volvo. For the popular Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris, the cost of engine oil increased by 40 percent and brake pads by 65 percent.

At the end of September owners of Lada Vesta were warned about possible shortage of spare parts. At the same time, experts believe the domestic brand to be the most reliable in the present time.
